1482050 3 - Alkoxycarbonylhydrazinoindazoles and pharmaceutical uses thereof BAYER AG 28 Oct 1975 [13 Dec l974] 44298/75 Heading C2C The invention relates to compounds of formula wherein R represents C 1-6 alkyl, and R<SP>1</SP> represents 1, 2 or 3 substituents selected from H, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, acylamino, alkoxycarbonylamino, halogen, -CF 3 , -CN or alkoxycarbonyl, or a salt thereof. These compounds may be obtained by reacting a 3-hydrazino-indole of formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> is as defined above, with a carbonic acid derivative of formula X-COOR in which X represents halogen or a group of formula 0-COOR in which R is as defined above. The intermediate 3-hydrazino-6-chloro-indazole is prepared by reacting 3-amino-6-chloroindazole with NaNO 2 /HCl and then reducing the product with SnCl 2 /HCl. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition which contains as an active ingredient a compound of Formula I in admixture with a solid or liquefied gaseous diluent or in admixture with a liquid diluent other than a solvent of a molecular weight less than 200 except in the presence of a surface-active agent.
