APPARATUS FOR MAKING REINFORCED COMBINED WOVEN FABRIC

A fabric is reinforced by applying strips of plastic film to its face, the film being of a polyethylene terephthalic ester and/or an acidic polyterephtalic ester. The continuous film in advanced by a feed device through a cutter to produce strips which are pressed against the fabric by a presser head. The fabric pref. rests on a heater plate so that the face of the film strips fuse to the surface of the fabric. The fabric is used for clothing. It is reinforced by the film strips which are applied automatically in a continuous process.
