1,128,617. Aerating ice-cream liquid. E. BELTRAMI. 5 Nov., 1965 [7 Nov., 1964], No. 46959/65. Heading B1C. A device for aerating a liquid to be made into soft ice-cream comprises a gear pump 1 having an inlet duct 9 and an outlet duct 10 connected by a by-pass chamber 13 through which the aerated liquid is recirculated by a pressure-relief valve 14 when the back pressure from the freezer rises to a predetermined level. The pump draws gas-liquid mixture from a duct 5 supplied with liquid through aperture 6 and air through duct 8 and aperture 7; a non-return valve 15 closes off duct 5 from the pump inlet when recirculation is taking place. |
