1,099,090. Thermal switches; cam-operated switches. DANFOSS A.S. June 29, 1966 [July 3, 1965], No. 29136/66. Heading H2B. In an evaporator thermostat in which a bellows 2 connected via a tube 3 to the evaporator operates on a lever 1 to actuate the main contacts for energizing the compressor, and in which bellows 2 is opposed by a spring 4 adjustable by a knob 9 through a cam 8 adjusting a bar 5, the bar 5 carries a member 22 that actuates signal contacts 15, 17. Member 22 has a slot 23 through which passes the head 20 of an adjustment screw 19 in contact carrying spring 14. If screw 19 is set for minimum actuating temperature, when spring 4 is set at minimum compression by knob 9 so that the compressor runs continuously, bar 5 is lifted and when the bottom of slot 23 abuts head 20, further lifting of bar 5 closes contacts 15, 17 to produce, or remove, a signal, e.g. lamp or alarm clock. |
