A toy roofing tile has an h-shaped edge section forming a straight outer part 1 and a hook shaped under part 2 for fitting over the end of another tile. The hook shaped part 2 may be divided to form two separately resilient tongue to facilitate connection to other tile in staggered formation. Tiles may be provided with a boss extending along half the width of the tile whereby tiles may be pivotally linked together to form a ridge at the top of a roof.
