The safety belt buckle is particularly for cars, aircraft and boats having two pivoting clamping jaws, preferably identical, and thrust into the locking position against spring action by the insertion of the tongue or pin of the other half. They are held in the locked position by shoulders on a locking lever fitting between their rear ends, the lever being released by an actuator. The actuator of the buckle has two arms, preferably of identical shape. Each of these is shifted along the opposite sides of the buckle body when the actuator is operated, engaging with protrusions on the locking lever extending beyond opposite sides of the body, and swinging it out of the locking position.
|
