<p>The electrical plug is designed to connect with a conduit type supply rail such that it can mechanically support the appliance it supplies. The conduit is in the form of an inverted 'U' onto which slides the load carrying plug, the male connecting pins emerging horizontally. The plug is also grooved to mate with the conduit ribs, these being horizontal and allowing the plug to be slid in and held, providing the support for the appliance weight and also preventing accidental removal. Cable entrance to the plug is obtained from its lower side and clamped to prevent accidental disconnection of the wiring.</p> |
