摘要 <p>Gyromagnetic material of the 3M2O3.5N2O3 garnet type (in which M is trivalent lanthanide(s) and N is trivalent metal(s) is obtd. from a non-stoichiometric garnet-forming oxide mixt. contg. ZrO2 and pref. also CaO as stabiliser, the molar deviation from the stoichiometric compsn. being -0.2 to +0.2 and the molar concn. of (each) stabiliser 0.035-0.20. Used in v.h.f. applications. The addn. of the stabiliser limits the number of process stages needed, so that the prodn. time is reduced by 25.30 h and the cost of the prod. is reduced. The gyromagnetic resonance line width is almost the same as that of the pure material. The additive can be used in technical processing and in all garnets, esp. those in which part of the Fe and/or Y is substd.</p>
