<p>Steam generator for stripping wall coverings comprises a heater with a water inlet hole and a steam outlet pipe, and a base with a central opening in which is mounted a burner of transverse dimensions less than those of the opening to form an annular passage. An annular support integral with the base bears the heater, and is radially spaced from at least the bottom of the heater and provided with holes adjacent to the heater. The lower edge of a deflector which is integral with the base forms a diaphragm, forcing hot gases entrained by air circulating from the opening in the base to the holes in the support, to sweep over the bottom of the heater.</p> |
