<p>Electrically heatable heat-storage plates, of parent patent, are produced by compressing a ceramic compsn. contg. an embedded heat-conductor and cold-setting additives. In the addition, ceramic compsn. is admixed with a hydraulic binder and a water-soluble silicone cpd. is added to mixing water. Moisture absorption of hydraulically bonded plate compsn. is reduced appreciably or prevented. Electrical conductivity of plates are 1/10 of those obtd. in standard plates. Heat-stability is increased to 400-600 degrees C, higher than if using a pure silicone additive. Hydraulic binder is pref. a cement binder and mixing water is admixed with >0.5% KMe siliconate.</p> |
