Flux equalising coil for multi shank magnetic core - contains short circuit winding generating opposite forces in outer shanks

The coil arrangement enforces uniform flux distribution in the outer shanks of multi-shank magnetic cores for transformers and storage choke coils in telecommunications systems. The arrangement consists of a short circuit winding (WK), laid round the outer shanks (A1,A2) of the magnetic core (M). The short circuit winding is mounted in such manner that the flux (W31) generated by the same flows in both shanks in mutually opposite direction. Preferably the short circuit winding has a single turn for each outer position. The arrangement permits reproducible voltage for partial windings.
