<p>The resilient plastics strip for mattress supports is curved in its longitudinal direction and is defined by two outer longitudinal supports (16,17) having a spring insert (18,19) and connected together by a grid framework of transverse webs (20) which define ventilation apertures (21) so that the bed is adequately ventilated. The spring inserts are pref. round bars of a sprung steel and the transverse webs are preferably aligned at an angle of 45 deg. to the longitudinal axis of the strip (10). Alternatively several longitudinal supports (16,17) can be provided which run parallel and can be connected by full-length transverse webs which contain the ventilation holes.</p> |
