<p>The hearing-aid is shaped like a smoker's pipe, cigarette holder or cigar holder or a similar product, and is held in the mouth when the user wishes to hear. The microphone is located in the bowl of the pipe or the end of the cigarette holder and is connected by a wire to the amplifier and loudspeaker at the mouth-piece. The microphone may be attached to a retractable thin wire that allows its removal. The device may also have a miniature connector to allow a standard hearing-aid(earpiece) to be connected to it. Volume is also provided.</p> |
