Appts. for drawing off and cooling an extruded plastics foil has a cooling water bath whose width corresponds to the width of extruded foil, the bath having a cooling hopper with cooling water supply devices which force the cooling water in contra-flow through an orifice into a weir provided with water outlets. Foil is cooled uniformly and the structure of foil is free of heterogenous spots. |
