The driver's cab is for building and earth moving machinery and tractors. The cab is designed to provide safety for the operator in the event of vehicle overturn and the particular advantage claimed is that the same cab profile can be used on various vehicles and with various layouts of doors, windows etc. The particular feature is that the hollow profiles used in the cab construction are strengthened by the insertion of central stiffening struts, typically tubes (8). The outer frame (4) uses a fish plate or gusset plate designed (6) with reinforcing tubes being on the inside between the plates. The reinforcing tubes are fixed rigidly to the plates.
