Flexible pipe for handling oxygen limestone mixture - has enclosed spiral wound pipe with connecting flanges subjected to high external pressure
摘要

The flexible pipe is used to supply a mixture of oxygen and limestone to a blast furnace. The flexible pipe consists of an inner pipe formed by the spiral winding of a metal strip of S-shaped cross-section which enables adjacent coils to hook on to each other but leaves a gap between the coils. It is enclosed in a corrugated outer pipe which is connected by short lengths of plain pipe to connecting flanges. The annular space between the inner and outer pipes is connected to a high pressure oxygen supply through the inlet. Any limestone dust which tends to block the spiral windings is blown through the gaps between the coils.
