<p>1481467 Coated metals BONAVALWERKE GmbH 25 Oct 1974 [26 Oct 1973] 46293/74 Heading B2E A phosphated or chromated metal substrate, e.g. iron, steel, copper, nickel or brass, has a lower primer layer consisting of 80-95% zinc and a covering film consisting essentially of 50 to 70% graphite, molybdenum sulphide or other heavy metal sulphides promoting sliding and 50 to 30% of an organic binder based on high polymers or on substances polymerisable to high polymers. Suitable polymers for the covering film are polyesters, epoxides, polyvinyl compounds, polyacrylic or polymethacrylic polymers or precursors thereof. Polyvinyl butyral may be employed. A solution of dispersion of the covering layer may be applied by spraying, dipping, brushing, flooding or roll coating followed by evaporation of the solvent or dispersing agent.</p> |
