1500517 Laminated building panels; forms of wood S L SAMUELSSON 7 Feb 1975 [7 Feb 1974] 5420/75 Headings B5N and B5L [Also in Divisions E1-E2] Building panels are made by dividing an assembly of outer sheets 3, 4 with heat insulating material therebetween into longitudinal bars 1, 2 and securing the bars in spaced parallel relationship between outer plates 5, 6. The insulating material may be expanded plastics or paper honeycomb blocks, or may be spaced wooden joists (Figs. 6-9, not shown) in which case the bars are formed by division either between or along individual joists. The spaces between bars 1, 2 and the spaces between joists inside a bar may contain insulating material, e.g. expanded plastics, mineral wool. The sheets 3, 4 may be plywood, fibreboard or particleboard and the plates 5, 6 may be plywood, blockboard or particleboard. Large panels may be cut into module elements either along or between the bars 1, 2, and two such modules may be connected by inserted blocks, tongue and groove members or insulating material. Wires and pipes may be inserted in or between the bars 1, 2. |
