The milling machine takes only a short operational time for the different milling stages. It has a vertically adjustable turret (3) on which the pattern key is held above the blank key. The turret can swivel precisely through 90 and is supported on a cross slide (1,2) which runs on ball bearings. A releasable clamp is provided for each direction of movement, with manual movement possible in a direction parallel to the milling cutter axis. The position of the blade axes (21,22) established on the turret can be adjusted relative to the milling cutters (10,11).
