The collapsible trailer has an insertable tow shaft where the shaft has holes. The shaft can be easily pushed up to a stop (8) in a spar of the base unit, which also has holes. A pin (100) is pushed through the holes with the aid of the stop so that the shaft is arrested for use. The spar has bushes (90,50'). The pins (100) project into these bushes and are supported by leaf springs (23) in the form that, in the rest condition, the inner walls of the spar (24) remain smooth so that the shaft can be easily pushed up to the stop. During use the pin is clamped between the stops.
