<p>A roller conveyor is for tiles and similar objects. It includes a number of parallel equally spaced freely rotating rollers mounted on two side beams (1,2) positioned in horizontal plane. Below the rollers (5,6,7) is located a driving equipment for direct driving of each roller and a feeler for a programmed control of rotating speed of the rollers provided with an electric control equipment. The driving equipment for direct driving of each roller (5,6,7) consists of at least one flat driving belt but preferably of two equal and parallel flat belts (15), tensioned between two belt pulleys of which one is driving the belts. The belts are in contact with the bottom part of each roller and are rotating the rollers by friction. Each roller (5,6,7) consists of a metal core which is covered with a thick layer (13) of an elastic material of a high co-efficient of friction.</p> |
