<p>The assembled partition wall, for installation in a building, is double-skinned, with an air gap (4) retained between the two shells (1,2,3). This is defined by a beam (5,6) at the bottom, and by metal angle-pieces at the top. The beam penetrates horizontally into the shells, and grooves in the shells are engaged by vertical cross arm stems on the angle-pieces. The shells may be made up from chipboard panels (1), asbestos cement panels (2) and fibre matting (3), in layers the interval between the panels in the shells is defined by frame shanks (10), incorporating the bent sections for the beam and grooves. The beam is pref. of the same width as the shells, and the frame shanks twice as wide as the asbestos cement panels and chipboard panels.</p> |
