摘要 In the device, the dough is stretched by means of a plurality of rollers (51), which are guided on a closed path (B) having a lower straight section (x), on the upper runs of conveyor belts (15, 21, 23) arranged below the said straight section (x). A gap is provided between the upper runs of adjacent conveyor belts (15, 21; 21, 23) and these adjacent conveyor belts come into contact with one another at a point (P) below the plane in which the upper runs of the said conveyor belts are situated. Contact between the conveyor belts causes the flour remaining on the upstream conveyor belt to be brushed off onto the next downstream conveyor belt. The dough is not supported between two successive runs of the conveyor belts. This means that the accumulations of dough generated after each stretching action by the rollers are kept small, so that no deep folds or cracks appear in the strand of dough during the subsequent stretching operation in a relatively narrow gap between the rollers and the more rapidly moving conveyor belt. <IMAGE>
