ADHESIVE CABLE

The insulated electric cable (12) adhesive fixing method involves an insulated cable (12) which is combined with a band (16) carrying on at least one of its faces an adhesive (22). A layer of bonding material (28) is applied between the sheath (14) and the other face (24) of the band so as to ensure the bonding of the band to the insulating cable sheath (14). The band (16) has a cloth base. The method of applying the band (16) to the cable (12) is to heat the bonding agent (28) and then apply it to a surface of the cable insulation. The insulation is then aligned with the bond and both band and insulation are brought into contact and pressure is applied to them.
