Air and solar energy evaporator for heat pump - uses heat transfer to evaporator via solar energy pipes, evaporator tubes fitted with air baffles

Combined air and solar energy evaporator is used to supply heat pumps which take in heat both from the sun and from the air. The heat should be transferred to the evaporator via pipes (1) supplied with solar energy. The evaporator tubes (2) should carry brine and be fitted with air baffles (3) to absorb heat from the air. A self-acting blind system (5) is preferably used to prevent the heat from the solar energy being lost or diverted. Fans (4) should operate automatically if insufficient heat is absorbed, thus augmenting the flow of air. Conventional thermostats (6) control the fans and boiler operations.
