<p>Radiation equipment in particular for granular material with radiation elements and means for providing a constant and even flow through the equipment, having a feeding and discharge device, incorporates elements across the flow direction over the cross section, the radiation of which is mainly directed down stream and/or upstream. Specif. the radiation elements are grouped to form a grid and may have wedge shaped covers. Used for such purposes as the gamma irradiation of grain, the arrangement of the radiation elements prevents absorbtion as occurring with arrangement longitudinally; flow control of the grain is easier and the risk of breakage of the radiation elements is reduced.</p> |
