<p>1451099 Lubricating oil SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 12 Nov 1973 [13 Nov 1972] 52389/73 Heading C5F A lubricating oil contains a minor amount of a hydrogenated polyisoprene homopolymer, said polymer having been produced by solution polymerization with a lithium hydrocarbyl initiator, having a 1,4 content prior to hydrogenation of at least 85%, having an average M.Wt. of 40,000-225,000 and having been hydrogenated so as to reduce 80% of its double bonds. Other additives which may be present in the mineral base oil are pour point depressants (e.g. acrylate copolymers), ashless detergents (e.g. polymeric succinic acid derivatives) over based alkaline earth metal alkarylsulphonates, metal thiophosphates, phenolic antioxidants, silicone anti-foaming agents, dialkyl sulphides, organic phosphates, phosphates and phosphonates.</p> |
