<p>An arrangement for controlling the weft lance on looms with fixed reserves of weft yarn, has a rotating shaft on which the sley pivots and on which there are two profiled discs with complementary contours followed by two rollers. The rollers are carried by a lever linked to a reciprocating toothed wheel segment, linked in turn to a notched wheel working with a perforated band forming the lance. The reciprocating toothed segment is adjustable on the shaft and the lever is carried by a shaft which is roughly at the same height as shaft, so that the main components of the assembly are at the height of the shaft. The toothed segment transmits the drive through a pinion, a vertical shaft, bevels and a horizontal shaft to the notched wheel. The wt. of the assembly is located where it does not impose inertial forces on the sley, and the assembly is adequately lubricated and protected from dust and fly.</p> |
