A dry granular mixt. is used composed of: 100 pts. hydrosulphite using alkali metal hydrosulphite, ammonium hydrosulphite, and/or zinc hydrosulphite, giving a 100% hydrosulphite content; 37.5 to 214 parts of a pH builder of Na- or K carbonates, sesquicarbonates or bicarbonates and their blends; 37.5 to 286 pts. of a pH buffer of trisodium- tripotassium-, triammonium-, disodium-, dipotassium-, or diammonium phosphate, or sodium-, potassium- or ammonium tripolyphosphate, or tetrasodium-, tetrapotassium- or tetrammonium pyrophosphate, or sodium- or potassium silicate with a molecular ratio of silicon oxide to alkali metal oxide of about 0.5 to 3.3, borax or mixtures of these; 0.9 to 14.12 parts of a thermal stabiliser for the hydrosulphite, using sodium or potassium salts of an alkane acid with 1-12 carbon atoms or a benzo acid. Process allows the treatment material to be formed on an easily packed and stable hydrosulphite for cleaning, washing or stripping dyed fabrics or synthetic fibres. |
