<p>The compsn. contains (by wt.) 15-50% Na perborate 4H2O (I), 25-75% >=1 water-soluble Na or K sulphate, carbonate, silicate or phosphate (II) and 5-30% water-insoluble zeolitic molecular sieve (III) of particle dia. 0.5-12 mu which can be hydrated up to >=10 wt.%. (III) contains >=1.5% water and a monovalent cation, i.e. Na, K, Li, NH4 or H, and is >=1/4 of the amt. of (I). Pref. (II) are Na silicate, carbonate, sulphate and/or tripolyphosphate, but phosphates are best excluded. Compsns. are free-flowing and storage stable and the aq. solns. provide adequate bleaching/cleaning without being heated to b. pt. (III) tends to absorb any incompletely bleached dye so prevents staining of other fabrics.</p> |
