Density is measured by the buoyancy principle, in which the immersed body is placed in liquid in a flow bypass chamber connected to the main flow by an inlet tube. A leaf spring constrains the immersed body to move only in the measuring direction. The flow into the chamber impinges on the immersed body centre at right angles to the measuring movement. |
