<p>Mfr. of textile watering hose is performed by introducing a textile hose into a drier, from which it passes to a rubberising machine which applies to the whole periphery of the hose a layer of unvulcanised elastomer or elastomer-bases plastic. The hose is then passed to a cooler, then to appts. for treating it to allow it to transpire. The hose is then driven by endless belts to a drum, after which it is cut to the required length and lined with a second hose of unvulcanised or partially vulcanised elastomer or elastomer-based plastic. Water vapour is injected into the two hoses to cause vulcanisation of the inner and outer components, rendering the textile hose captive. Surface treatment applied during mfr. acts at this stage as a means for escape of gases contained in the peripheral layer.</p> |
