Compsns. for controlling Botrytis infections, esp. on grape vines, contain (a) 1-10 wt.% of a broad-spectrum antibiotic and (b) 45-60 wt.% of a substance capable of forming a Cu chelate precursor with a Cu2+:chelate molar ratio of 1:1. This substance is obtd. by mixing Cu oxinate and oxine (8-hydroxyquinoline) in a molar ratio of 2:1 in the presence of adhesives and surfactants on an inert carrier. The antibiotic can be cycloheximide or prer. chloramphenicol. The adhesive can be a cellulose deriv. (pref. methyl cellulose), and algae extract or a hydrophilic colloid. Suitable surfactants are anionic and amphoteric surfactants contg. a dodecyl radical.
|
