[Also in Divisions C4 and G2] A photo-hardenable composition comprises polyvinylcinnamate (obtained by esterifying partially hydrolysed polyvinyl acetate) and a photo-chromic spiropyran, which on imagewise exposure gives a hardened polymeric image and a coloured image which is more stable in the dark than the normally obtained photochromic image. Alternatively, a polyester made by condensing 2,2-bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)- propane and 5-azidoisophthaloyl chloride (see Specification 1,082,195) may be used as the photo-hardenable polymer.
