<p>The labeller has self-adhesive labels on a support band. There is a band stock and positive roller with a dispenser edge to part the label from the band. A drive forming part of the machine separates only part of the label from the band (7,8) and then drives it out beyond the machine for removal, leaving the remainder of the label still on the band. The label is pulled off from outside the machine and parts of the machine continue to move until the label is free of the support band (8). The transport roller (3) is fitted with a freewheel coupling (15) and is responsible for positive entrainment of the band labels entering the machine (2) and the emerging support band (8) for these. The push or pull used to apply the label to the object should be used to pull the remainder of the label off the band (8).</p> |
