The multi-layered wall-facing panel comprises a rectangular panel unit made of hard foamed material, with a covering layer on its front side. A stiffening element (4) is fixed on the load bearing hard foamed panel unit at an interval from the covering layer (3). The stiffening may be joined to the foamed panel by a layer of adhesive (5). It may be in the form of a reinforcing panel of plastic, compressed material, metal or plywood. It may have a network configuration, and may be smaller in area than the main panel, ending at an interval from the latter's edges all round.
