Laminar rotor core for three phase machine - has short circuiting bars held in place by centrifugal moulding, and rings to reduce shrinkage

The laminar packet, with short circulating winding is for 3-phase machines, especially those with external rotors. It has its laminae parallel to the short circuiting bars in the region of the bars and made of profiled steel and enclosed by a massive iron yoke (2) magnetically connected to the teeth profiles. The teeth profiles (1) are widened in the region of the air gap and/or the yoke. The shorting bars are fixed into the laminar packet by centrifugal moulding. Profiled steel rings are then inserted into the slot openings and/or near the shorting rings to take up shrinkage forces and reduce shrinkage.
