The dog collar consists of a thong (1) of suitable length, made of leather or other material. Each end of the thong has a ring (2e made of nickel-plated metal or other material. Each end of the thong is slide-mounted in the ring (2) to enlarge or narrow the collar as required. The facing surfaces of the superimposed parts of the thong (1a, 1b) each have temporary fitments (3-3a) over a convenient length, in the form of self-adhesive tapes with loops and hooks, which are sewn to the thong. A ring (6) fixed to the centre of the thong on the outside, is for attaching a lead.
