<p>The corner joint (6) is fixed to the frame by a countersunk head screw placed at the end of one of its legs. The two parts of the frame are provided with recessed grooves which meet in the corner of the frame. The grooves accommodate the thicknesses of the covering strips. The connecting corner piece (6) rests in the grooves. Each leg of the corner piece (6) is provided with a pocket (15, 16) into which the ends of the covering strips are fitted. To create the pockets (15,16), the connecting corner piece is provided with an additional corner insert (21). The covering strip can be fitted with a push rod with its end engaging in the locking plate fitted flush with the rabbet surface of the frame. The surface (22) of the additional corner insert is provided with a slot (39) through which the end of the push rod slides. The top of the additional corner insert is fitted with tongues (30,31) to compensate inaccuracies in the lengths of the covering strips.</p> |
