<p>Anode and cathode compartments in electrolytic cell are sepd. by a cation exchanger diaphragm of a graft copolymer consisting of polyolefine of formula (I) (where n is l or 2). Pref. content of (I) is 5-500 wt. %, w.r.t. polyolefine main chain. Used for electrolysis of alkali metal halide solns. High perm selectivity towards monovalent cations, and high strength and service life are obtd. Polyolefine main chains of graft copolymer represent an aliphatic, aromatic or alicyclic polymer, and are pref. polyethylene, polypropylene or polystyrene. (I) may be mono- or dihydroxy-styrene.</p> |
