<p>A three-phase encapsulated gas insulated circuit breaker suitable for use in the medium and the high voltage ranges. The gas used is sulphur hexafluoride. The individual poles are at the corners of a triangle. The encapsulation (3) of the circuit breaker (1) is closed off at the front surface by the drive plate with drive (2) and on the other side by a sealing plate (4). A filter (10) is mounted in the centre between the three poles (7, 8, 9) and directed along the axial direction of the poles. The filter is used to remove the products produced by the gas as a result of the arcing. The sides of the triangular filter are concave and there are supports at the corners extending to the internal wall of the encapsulation.</p> |
