The anti theft device is for vehicles with doors (4, 5, 6) and has a central control, connected to test organs (7) attached to the doors (4, 5, 6) and to warding devices (5). These organs can be in "work" or "rest" positions and in one of these sets off the alarm if a door is opened. The test organs are of a type which close a circuit when in the "rest" position and, fed by an electrical supply, operate a button (2) to set off an audible warning (3). The test organs are the door handle pushes (7) of doors (4) and of the bonnet and boot lids (5, 6). The circuit is put into a state of readiness by a lighting switch.
