Thermostat cut off tap protection cap - has cover base ring screwable on tap body union and carrying axial valve (BE120477)

The temporary protection cap is for fitment to the body of a thermostat cut-off tap prior to assembly of its thermostate control head, the tap body being in a housing and having a valve shaft running through it. In its open position, the valve is tensioned by a flexible component. The protective cap has a cover (30) and a hub (31) which receives the valve (20) position control. The cover (30) has a base ring (32) which is screwable on to a tap body (4) union (12a) with its inner thread (33). The bottom of the hub (31) of the protection cap (1) is brought to locate against the top side of the cut off tap (2) body (4) when the ring (32) is screwed down.
