<p>The window cleaning implement or brush has a rod handle (4, 5) which is telescopically adjustable for length. The implement has a head bar (1) mounted transversely at one end of the handle. The bar (1) may support either a sponge or a rubber blade. The handle is extended to enable upper window zones to be treated. The handle comprise two co-axial tube length (4, 5) of which the length (5) remote from the head (1) slides over the other (4). A coil spring (7) contained within the handle (4, 5) may aid extension. Opposed circumferential ribs in the resp. tube walls may be provided to check relative tube displacement. A threaded sleeve (10) with a tapered internal wall return may be used to lock the handle at the required length. The sleeve (10) is rotated to move the tapered return into an annular space between the tubes (4, 5).</p> |
