Safety boot with steel plate embedded in sole - has outer boot of rubber with lining of brushed nylon and grooved for flexibility

The safety boot is intended to provide protection against injury and against heat and cold. The outer part (1) of the boot is of rubber and during manufacture a steel toe cap (6) and a steel sole (7) are moulded into the material. The outer shoe (1) is between 2mm and 6mm thick and is provided with grooves (3) for flexibility around the ankle. Additional protection is provided by circular metal inserts around the ankle bone. A lining (2) of brushed nylon or similar woven fabric fits inside the outer boot (1) and is attached by a seam (5) around the top of the boot. The boot is intended to be worn on outdoor building sites or in factories.
