The metal or plastic containers are corrosion resistant lined with a blow-formed thermoplastic coating. A preformed blank, moulded between a cavity die and a core, is applied to a vented container and container seating tool. Small vent holes relieve internal air. The vent holed (9) tool (4) receives the container (6) and the core (2) mounted blank. Container shoulder and base holes (8) align with the tool's holes. The blown (5,5a) blank lines (7) the container. Blanks are extrusion, immersion or injection moulded, or hot sheet formed.
