Methyl-urea- or melamine-formaldehyde resin is finely distributed in pulp before this passes to parchmentisaton bath. Amount of resin used pref. is 2-3 wt.%, based on that of paper. Treatment prevents rotting of paper used for wrapping foodstuffs. |
