<p>The gear drive mechanism converts a reciprocation motion into a rotary one and vice versa, having an internally-toothed frame with which a partly-toothed pinion meshes. the pinion is rotated by a lever with three links, fastened to the pinion at one end and the frame at the other. A first curved guide (9) is provided at one end of the reciprocating frame (3), and in this the central pivot pin (8) of the first lever works. The first part (6a) is fixed to the pinion (4). A second curved guide (9a) at the other end of the frame accommodates the pivot pin (8a) of the second part of a second lever, changing over the pinion into mesh with the rack teeth in the opposite part of the frame. The first part (7a) of this second lever is secured to the pinion, and the third (7c) is fastened to the frame.</p> |
