<p>A horizontal conveyor belt carries cube shaped objects towards a hinged bridge plate at the end of the conveyor. The plate pivots about a horizontal axis and is able to direct the objects from the conveyor onto two moving belt platforms which are located above each other. When the two belts are driven together, the two objects are moved ahead until the object from the top belt is placed on top of the lower object. The stacked objects are then moved forwards by the exit conveyor. Sensors detect the positions of the objects during the transfer, thus they produce the control signals for the conveyor drives and the bridge plate operation.</p> |
