The object is to provide a device for depositing longitudinal swaths and/or for depositing transverse swaths, which is of simple construction and is easy to install and which can easily be operated by the tractor driver from his seat, specifically with a control coupled exactly to the position of the depositing means. For this purpose, there are provided switching means which can be operated from the driver's seat and which are in switching connection with control switching means (7-10). The control switching means are located in the region of an actuating member (4) for the depositing means (2). Coupled to the movement of the depositing means (2) or their actuating member (4) is a control member (11, 11') which acts on the control switching means according to its position and therefore to the position of the depositing means. <IMAGE>
